Fall 2019 – Oil Painting classes with Tim Neill

Pattern Painting with Kirsten Fischler

Adult Workshop – Fridays 9:30am – 12pm
Oct. 25th, Nov. 1st, 8th and 15th, $160

Using wood grain as a design motif, this painting and constructing class will let you explore the interplay of natural patterns with geometric shapes in dazzling contrasts of color, form, texture, and pattern. Materials fee: $20(pay instructor at 1st class)

Supplies: Bring your choice of acrylics, oils, prismacolor pencils, scrap wood.

One Day Workshop with Michele J Kenna

Learn the art of creating a bold colorful painting in the beautiful medium of soft pastels. Working from one of your favorite landscape photographs, Michele will teach you how to lay in blocks of color, the importance of values, and the use of line markings and texture resulting in an exciting painting. The goal of the workshop is to create a painting that conveys joy in color, movement and personal expression.  Exact details are not the focus. All levels are welcome. Limit 10 students. Fall 2019 – Watercolor with artist Marion Hall

Adult Workshop – Oct.31, Nov. 7th, 14th and 21st – Full
Thursdays, 9:30 – 12:00, $160

This workshop will focus on how to infuse your paintings with vibrant color and contrast. We will learn techniques to paint the components of a simple landscape. Determined by the interest of the group, we will explore water, sky, rocks, foliage and more, You are welcome to bring in prior work for critique. Please bring favorite photos to work from. This class is for intermediate artists wishing to explore and improve watercolor painting techniques. A materials list will be provided with registration. Please register early, 8 students maximum. “Letting Go, Freeing Up, and Moving Towards Abstraction”

Tuesday, November 5th, 9am – 2pm, $150
A One Day Workshop with Contemporary Abstract Painter
and “Painting Coach” Ellen Rolli. All levels welcome.


In this 5 hour Workshop, whether a novice or experienced painter, Ellen will share ideas and methods that will inspire you to paint bravely and expressively. She will “Coach” you to move away from your comfort zone, take risks, and most importantly have fun and find joy in the process.

The session will begin with an “Art Talk” to discover where each student is in their creative journey. After a brief demo, students will then have hands on painting time. There will be a group critique towards the end of the workshop to share student works, thoughts, and ideas.
