Saturday Series –
Mar. 9th, 9:30 - 12:00 – Textile pattern/design
Each artist will design and print a repetitive pattern that they create. We'll start by brainstorming and sketching our designs. Then we will create a printing plate and apply our design to fabric with paints and inks. Each artist will take home their own 12” original artist pillow made with the fabric they have created.
All materials supplied.
Feb. 16th, 9:30 - 12:00 – Fashion design
Discover what it takes to be a successful fashion designer. Students will learn how fashion designers use color, fabric, texture and pattern. We will discuss design elements, styles and trends. Each student will create an Inspiration Board using their designs, sketches, fabrics and details. All materials supplied.

Spring 2019 – Oil Painting Workshop with Colleen Kidder
Adult Workshop – April 25th, May 2nd, 9th and 16th
Thursdays, 9:30 – 12:00, $160
This workshop will focus on approaching composition with simplified design by applying paint with an emphasis on creativity and individual expression. Techniques will be demonstrated such as color mixing and using different brushes to achieve a sense of emotion in a painting. Supply list will be provided. Spring 2019 – Watercolor with artist Marion Hall
Adult Workshop – Thursdays, May 23rd, 30th and June 6th and 13th, 9:30 – 12:00, $160
This workshop will focus on how to infuse your paintings with vibrant color and contrast. We will learn techniques to paint the components of a simple landscape. Determined by the interest of the group, we will explore water, sky, rocks, foliage and more, You are welcome to bring in prior work for critique. Please bring favorite photos to work from. This class is for intermediate artists wishing to explore and improve watercolor painting techniques. A materials list will be provided with registration. Please register early, 8 students maximum.
