Oil Painting classes with Tim Neill

High School – Adult workshop
Tuesday evenings (ongoing), 6:00pm - 8:00pm, $160

Session 3 – Mar. 19th, 26th, Apr. 2nd and 16th – 2 spots open

Learn the techniques of painting in oil with artist Tim Neill. This workshop is suitable for all levels high school - adult. Materials list will be supplied at registration. Check out Tim's work here: http://www.timneill.com/

Saturday Series –

Mar. 9th, 9:30 - 12:00 – Textile pattern/design, $100 Full
Each artist will design and print a repetitive pattern that they create. We'll start by brainstorming and sketching our designs. Then we will create a printing plate and apply our design to fabric with paints and inks. Each artist will have their own 12”  original artist pillow made with the fabric they have created.  Pillows will be ready for pickup one week after the workshop. ($10 materials fee included for 12" pillow insert). 

April 27th, 9:30 - 12:00 – Animal Life Drawing, $90
For this workshop we will have a great dane in the studio. Thank you Service Dog Project! Our young artists will view our model close up and observe every detail. In addition to creating their art work, the children will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn amazing facts about these beautiful dogs!  

March 9th – Textile pattern/design - Full
April 27th – Animal Life Drawing

May 11th – Spring watercolor

Spring 2019 – Oil Painting Workshop with Colleen Kidder

Adult Workshop – April 25th, May 2nd, 9th and 16th
Thursdays, 9:30 – 12:00, $160 FULL

This workshop will focus on approaching composition with simplified design by applying paint with an emphasis on creativity and individual expression. Techniques will be demonstrated such as color mixing and using different brushes to achieve a sense of emotion in a painting. Supply list will be provided. Spring 2019 – Watercolor with artist Marion Hall

Adult Workshop – May 23rd, 30th and June 6th and 13th
Thursdays, 9:30 – 12:00, $160

This workshop will focus on how to infuse your paintings with vibrant color and contrast. We will learn techniques to paint the components of a simple landscape. Determined by the interest of the group, we will explore water, sky, rocks, foliage and more, You are welcome to bring in prior work for critique. Please bring favorite photos to work from. This class is for intermediate artists wishing to explore and improve watercolor painting techniques. A materials list will be provided with registration. Please register early, 8 students maximum.
